I am trying to sync MIDI clock with the devices listed below. I do know that Logic Pro X does NOT operate as the slave, only the master - but I am wondering if anyone has feedback on how to perhaps make a work-around. I have a friend that suggested running Mainstage on a separate Mac, and have that slave to both the pedal and the iMac running Logic Pro X (master)?
The concept here is to have the pedal determine the BPM (Midi clock) and send that info to Logic, so I then can create drums, other instruments, etc based on the loop created by the Midi pedal. But, the pedal and Logic both have to be the master. My friend had a concept: Run MainStage on a second computer, just as a MIDI/effects processor, let it slave to the Molten Midi Pedal, and output from there into Logic for recording.
Effectively making the second Mac a bass effects rig. Sound possible?
Chain:
Bass guitar->Molten Midi B pedal (sends Midi clock as master only to Digitech Bass Whammy)->Midi Splitter/Repeater->MIDI Interface->iMac running Logic Pro X->back to Splitter Repeater->pedal chain->interface 1/4" in

Thanks in advance for your help.
