Hello all. New guy here. Mike. I have a Korg M50 and I'm trying to use the actual sounds from the M50 into Logic X. I have a MIDI to USB device and it works well with Logic's software instruments...etc. How do I set it up to use the input sounds from the M50?

Hi, Using latest version of Logic Pro X . When I select multi-device output in audio preferences, it works just fine but slowly starts to add echo or delay to one of the outputs. If I de-select, then re-select it, it works for awhile, then slowly starts to echo again. Ideas?

Hi. I'm running a Mackie Pro FX22 V3 with USB into my DAW, Logic X. So, I have, any drum track. I go to record an acoustic guitar and the timing to the drums is way off from what I played. No matter if I'm using a mic or direct in. I turned latency down to 32. Tried different settings but nothing seems to help. Arrrgh!

It appears to be a setting in Logic Pro. I bypassed the input mixer and went to direct in with a mic. The tempo is different on a audio recorded track. How do I keep the same tempo on the new audio track as the drum track?

Sorry for the confusion. I've been trying a lot of different things. What I came to realize is this...When I start an audio recording, I noticed it was starting the recording early. For example, I have a basic Bluebird beat recorded. I set up an audio track, hit record, wait for the count-in, and count into the microphone after count-in and record....1, 2, 3, 4, 1, ,2, 3, 4.... Upon playback, The very first "1" I say is cut off by about half the voice. Then, the rest stays pretty much in time but because it started the recording early, everything is slightly ahead of the beat. If I move the region to the right by about an eighth of a measure, It all falls into place, BUT, it's still cutting off that first note. Tried many settings. Still not sure what's causing it.

Yeah. I've tried multiple fresh projects. Delay is set to 0 ticks. What about the flex and follow setting? That's at off as well

I appreciate the help, Joe. I'm at an impasse. I have tried everything I can think of. I took a microphone and plugged it directly into the line input of my computer, which is a Mac mini, 8 gb of ram. Running Mac OS Catalina, ver 10.5.7. It still did the same thing, which in a nutshell, is audio recordings are not keeping time with the metronome or any pre-recorded drum beats. Where do I go from here? Contact Apple support, I'm assuming? I know what I'm doing with the DAW. I learned on Logic 9 on a different computer and didn't have this issue. It doesn't matter what input I'm using for the interface, the USB port, direct in, etc.. I just don't know what else to try...I'm actually losing sleep over this! LOL

I think I may have it!! I haven't been able to test yet, due to some home issues, but an Apple Forum led me in the right direction. Under preferences>audio, there's a setting called "Recording Delay". I checked it many times, NOT knowing that the slider has to be IN THE MIDDLE, at 0. Not far left, like I thought it should be. I'll let you know the result, but another user had the same issue. Neither one of us know how the slider got to that position. I shall, however, blame myself. Thinking maybe early on at setup, I slid the slider (slid the slider?) Hmmm. ok. Salacambella!

Oh...and also read somewhere that this is one of Apple's biggest support issues/questions. There may be a software update with this fix inclusion coming next.
