Apple has also made it easy to access the memory, so I would personally buy the minimum and upgrade the memory myself, you can find it lot cheaper tham buy the memory from apple. My two cents.

I had the same pronlem except garageban prompted me to down;oad over 1 gb of missing samples and I too have some dounles and triples of the same files.

Over 1 gb download, so there is no way I can tell you which ones it downloaded, but I know there were some from every instrument class. I recently purchased the ilife 08 as well as the Logic 8 pro, so I am not sure if that had anything to do with the extra samples download. Hope that helps.

I have viewed up to lesson 22, It was some help in a few areas, I know it will help new users of logic and help those understand audio files. I would like to see tutorials on ultrabeat and how to trigger the patterns via keyboard or midi controller, I did figure out how to drag the patterns from ultrabeat to a track. I have upgraded from Logic 7 Express, so there are more instruments for me to learn.

I noticed there is a program installed with Logic Pro 8; called "Compressor, " which includes Quicktime Pro, will there be any tutorials using Compressor?

Recyle 2.1 works fine with leopoard 10.5.1 I use it with no problems.

Recycle 2.1 does run on my computer which is a dual 2.5ghz G5., after reading the propellerheads post, which states "ReCycle 2.1 has limited compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. [b]It will not run on computers with more than one processor, regardless of whether it is a PowerPC or Intel Mac. [/b]Propellerhead Software are working closely with Apple to find a solution to this issue." I started going through some of the functions, the only issue I found is that it would not let me import from a music CD, if that is a function in recycle I am not sure, I mainly use recycle to convert my wave and aiff files to rex format for Propellerhead Reasons and Native instruments Intakt. And far as it not running at all on any Dual processor Mac's, I guess the 10.5.1 may have fixed that problem or its a fluke, and working on my computer. Has anyone else upgraded to 10.5.1 on a Dual system able to use Recycle 2.1? I Can post a video on request.

Well some of us prefer not to wait, I am a big fan of Beta myself, I like working through the bugs and contributing feedback to help make a better product. If it wasn't for the ones like myself who buy the product early, I feel it would take the developers that much longer to find any new problems. Its about preference, if you choose to wait until most of the bugs are worked out, that is your choice, and thank the ones who do volunteer to be test dummies, that way can report any issues and you get the product with the last "0". There is always 2 sides and I can understand you 100%, thats why you should always backup your projects, especially when it involves money or clients, no matter what OS you are using. I actually had more problems with logic and Tiger 10.4 then I am having with 10.5
