Hi, Rounik.
I saw your article about remapping outputs in Ultrabeat.
I've done the same with the EXS 24 Rock Kit, and BFD 2.
I've also created an environment that uses the bottom 5 octaves in the piano roll for drum programming. [c-2 to b2
Each note triggers one hit. i.e. g#-2 & a-2 = kick 1.
I've grouped each drum together, so that in a vertical stack kicks are at the bottom, then snares, hat, toms and cymbals.
This gives me 2 hits for each instrument and 10 hi-hat varoations [quarter, half tip or shank. open closed. etc]
It makes tom fills and cymbal hits a a cinch, and allows the kick and snare to sit next to each other on the piano roll editor.
Unfortunately, Ultrabeat's trigger notes are fixed. From memory the first Kick is c3 and the rest are higher.
Is there a way to remap the trigger notes lower so they would match my custom environment?
Any ideas you have would be appreciated. Thanks for you time.
Peter North.
