Hi, My Name is Frank, and I've used MacProVideo once before, but it's been a while. I just got the month of streaming, so I hope to be getting back to enjoying writing some music and learning more about other software ASAP. I'm running Logic Pro 8 and Mac OS/X 10.6.8. When I used MacProVideo a few years ago, I found it to be incredibly helpful, and it seems like it's developed nicely. I got the app for the iPhone and it worked right away. I've developed a lot of computer software, but it's a very different experience than using it because it's about simplicity. Using programs like Logic Pro is very challenging for me because it has so many features and details. And becoming somewhat fluent with it is important in order to concentrate on Music (which is the important part) Anyway, I really like help forums and have relied on them quite a bit in the past. Thanks Gary, I was somewhat proficient with it before, but it's been a few years, so I thought I'd start again and be disciplined about it. I think that training is one of the best applications of video there is. I also have Reaktor 5, and thought I'd check out what you have and is otherwise available about that. I'll see if I can get past just finding and tweaking ensembles this time. I remember it being an amazing program, but it always struck me (and many other people) as having been written by engineers without enough emphasis on UI and programmability, making it opaque, and in disparate need of training videos, books, etc.. So, I'll see what's there. I went to the Berklee site (since I'm an alumni - 1982) to see what they might have online. Hi, If this isn't 'inside information', I was curious about what software tools/techniques the people use to create the tutorials. (Mainly concerning the dynamic screen capture - I have a small audio/music studio that's very good for a 'pro-sumer' level) The reason I ask is that now, I think it would be a useful thing I might like to do for myself. Also, at some point in the future, I might like to try to do some of this on a more serious level. (Training seems to have a good deal of demand still) My background was initially music, but to make a living I mostly did software engineering. ( I started in 1984 in the Boston / Cambridge area (USA) which was (along with Silicon Valley) where the era of the PC / MAC started and grew, so I was fortunate to have been able to work at some great companies. I've been mixing computers and music since the mid 1980's, and have some teaching / training experience. I've been taking a break from music for a while, so I'm just getting back into it. But at some point I think that I'd have the skills to create some kind of tutorials, since I have a wide set of skills. Enough of the digressing! Again, if anyone could tell me what tools they use (or are available) for creating tutorials like this, I'd much appreciate it. Thank you. Best Regards, -Frank
