Hello Steve - I have just downloaded the latest TNT and I have to disagree with Lord and say Hurray!!! In the interest of full disclosure, I do own Stylus RMX, but I welcome coverage of all the major 3rd party software. Just as I don't only use Logic for my music making, I like to see what else is out there. Same with the other tutorials (I don't have Waves plugs, yet, but I like to see what is possible/others use) I say, keep up the great work. As long as it relates to Logic, I am all in.

I agree as well, and would add to be sure to get a 7200 rpm drive for best results (a lot of the cheaper drives from the big-box stores are 5400 rpm). I haven't had good luck with usb drives - so I would stick to firewire 400/800 or e-sata. I would recommend either a G-Tech or OWC drive. They have both worked great for me. I have also heard good things about Glyph and some of the WD drives, but I don't own any of them.

I know a guy in my office that had a la Cie Porche hard drive that actually started to smoke one day while he was using. The drive failed, and he had to go to the backup drive to recover. Ever since then, I have steered clear of LaCie. Although, I have to say that I have an older LaCie D2 drive that has worked very well for me - hasn't given me a lick of trouble.

Well, all I can tell you is this; Once we came back and saw the drive smoking, we immediately unplugged it from the computer and determined that the old PC in the corner had been a bad influence. Although, you really can't blame the PC, he had a rough life running Quickbooks and Windows 95. [i]I dare ask, who among us would fair better under such conditions?[/i] We at once threw away all the old cables and bought new ones, and affixed a Nicoderm CQ patch around the heat sink and hoped for the best. Over time, however, it became clear that the habit had scripted itself deep within the root directory, and alas, the drive couldn't break the habit. It smoked right up to the moment it finally succumbed with a faint wheeze and one final grind. Such a waste of young life and brilliant good looks. Rest in peace dear friend, rest in peace.

I just watched the videos, and I am no expert, but this is what I think Steve said. You can copy and paste the macros between projects. So, I plan on setting up a template with each of the macros I need in it and start each song from that template. Then, if I need more macros, I can simple copy and paste them as needed. I am not sure about the other question regarding DP - maybe some else can chime in, and also say if I am correct in my interpretations of Steve's lessons.

Are you using the pan knob within EWQLSO or on the mixer channel? You have to adjust the pan knob within the plugin itself, not the channel strip in Logic. So you should set it up so you can see the environment channel strip with the monitor attached to the strip where the EWQLSO is loaded, and the EWQLSO plugin. Then, adjust the pan control within the EWQLSO plug-in GUI and watch the monitor. That should tell you the CC# you need to transform to. The CC# for Midi Pan is CC# 10. I don't have EWQLSO so I cant check it myself. Maybe someone else here can tell you which CC# EW uses. Hope this helps. KC

Hello All - So I had this crazy idea about having more control over Stylus RMS with the same channel faders that we set up in the October TNT. If you look at the faders, there is are two controllers that default to Reverb and Chorus. My thought was to transform these to control Stylus RMX aux 1 and 2. My problem is that I can't seem to see those channel strips within the environment - only the master fader that Stylus RMX is loaded into. Is there a way to also get to the "sub-channels" that we set up? Thanks - KC
