If the folder is absent, try creating it. Make sure the path is exactly the same. It is case sensitive. The exact path is : Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Logic/Images/Icons... Tell us if it works.

[/quote] That way, it preserve your original Logic application... if you delete an icon by mistake, you can always revert to it later. LogicPro Files needs to change the names of your icons files to numbers to be recognized by Logic. It's a great app when you have a high number of icons to manage... I'm glad it worked out for you.

The only thing I've heard from a good source is that the score edit will be greatly enhanced and that the application will be 64 bits (more RAM! Yeah!). I think it will be out just after Leopard. I think and hope that the environment will still be there!

Leopard is postponed to october, so I think Logic 8 won't be out anytime soon.

Yeah, that 8 core beast is very tempting... but in the meantime, you can always try to freeze the tracks that are CPU hungry by clicking on the button that features the small "ice crystal" icon. If the buttons are not visible, activate them (view-Track Freeze Buttons).

Are you able to play Logic's Synth with the Keystation ? Is it only your external Roland synth that you're unable to play ?

[/quote] Here is my personal opinion on your questions. 1-It is best to record your audio on a different HD than your main system one's. It can be an internal or external HD. 2-Yes you can. An external HD can be useful because of portability. 3-Naturally, the bigger the better. 4-Yes you have. SD and Sculpture takes up much more CPU power than memory. Even then, If you plan to use a lot of samplers, 4.5 GB is excellent. In fact, until Leopard and Logic 8, Logic can't even access more than 4 GB (and in practice, even less).

Go to Preferences - Key Commands and do a search for "nudge". By default, the "nudge Region/Event Position by + or - Nudge Value" is set to Opt Right or left arrow. You can also setup different key command for nudge (by beat, by tick, etc)... Logic key commands can be set any way you want!

This could be a difference of sample rate between the 2 apps. Go to the "Audio" menu and change the sample rate. Press stop. Press play. Press stop again. Start Live. Tell us if it works.
