Now that I have spent considerable time learning Logic- including MacPro Videos which were tremendous I'm seeing posts on Apple's discussion forums about a new version appearing; it is rumoured to be following SoundTrack Pro's format- a single screen interface; not sure I'm crazy about this as I like the extreme flexibility Logic allows. ready to upgrade computer so it appears I may have to go with this new program as Logic upgrades are rapidly disappearing.

all I can say at this point is " I LOVE APPLE !!!!!" WOW- well worth waiting for- the price is unbeatable!!!

can anyone tell me the advantages of a mac pro vs. a high-end imac (2.8 ghz) for using Logic to record audio? how is the hardware superior? thanks

from what I've been able to determine the biggest advantage of a Mac Pro vs an Imac is the firewire bus- the macpro has two while the Imac has two ports on the same bus. not sure about the new 2.8 ghz Imac- some info leads to believe it may have two busses.

reading a lot recently about high volume bursts of white noise while usng Logic 9; some users have reported hearing damage as a result. There is a very long thread about this on Apple's support website. Does not seem to be related to any hardware configuration. Has anyone experienced this problem? Is it 'safe' to use Logic at this point? mac pro/ 10.6.2/ logic 9.0.2
