Budget is not a huge concern, im looking for a good quality interface, not wanting to cut corners. I will be using mainly for electro music with live bass and using old synths as opposed to soft synths. I will use for recording drums also but not frequently. I will be recording each instrument individually....but understand i could be using more than 4 at once for drums. i have the tapco 220 mix which has more than 8 outputs so im not sure if that means i record more than one track at once via that? Im still quite new to the recording process cheers Tom

Hi Rounik, Thanks for the help, top info Do you know if any of these interfaces have had any problems with the new leopard upgrade? I had a tascam us-122 which i used to use with my old set up. I tried to use with the macbook and could not get to register? I heard this was because of the new lepoard upgarde for mac? Cheers Tom

Cheers Christian, Its not a defo im gonna go for the akai, I did some research on it, reviews mention alot about being good for reason/cubase but no mention of logic...so was a bit unsure. The drum pads were defo an attraction though. cheers Tom

Hi all, I have express but am looking to upgrade to the full logic pro package. Do I need to buy logic pro outright or can I upgrade my express somehow? Cheers Tom
