Volum levels of menu and content of DVD
Hi, I have finished editing and created a DVD using DVDPRO4. I used royalty free music as my backgroud music for the menu but this is higher in volume than the volume of the actual storyline of the DVD. I watched you Mastering APAK and you mentioned about normalisation, but since ACAP is no longer used with DVDPRO4 how do you achieve this this. The questuin is how do I get all the volume on the dvd to be the same in dvd pro when using different audio files in the menu section. Thanks, EB

There's only 2 ways ... use PCM files like AIFFs and make them the same vloume to begin with, or get the dialog normalization settings correct. We will be re-doing the AC-3 video soon, but for now, all the same theory applies, except you have to create the AC-3 files using Compressor. Infortunatly. A.Pack was a great little app ... Anyway, all the settings are still the same ...
