buttons similar to tag word cloud
Hello everyone I am creating a DVD menu in the style of a blog-site 'tag word cloud' a.k.a a lot of words in a paragraph of varying sizes (e.g http://www.bigshinything.com). Each words will be a button linked to a video. As you can see/imagine, these words unfortunately almost overlap as they are different sizes in the same line. I'm using DVD studio pro, with text included in the highlight and positioned at the center of a button. There is still a small frame around the text and even when reduced to a minimum size, it overlap the frame of another button. Most of my buttons get slightly on top of each others. Does anyone knows if it's going to affect the navigation when the DVD is burned? Is there a way on DVD studio pro to have only text as button (similar to a web link)? If I cannot do it with DVD studio pro can I do it with another mac friendly software? Many thanks Romain

Hi Romain, That's a really nice design idea... I'm not sure whether you'll encounter issues with the overlapping text. Best thing to do is burn the DVD and try it out. But from knowledge you can't have overlapping buttons on a DVD - so you might need to space out the text a little so as to avoid any overlaps. Let me know how you get on, Rounik

Actually there is a workaround that comes to mind now I think about it... Create the graphic of the "Word tag" in Photoshop and import the graphic into DVD Studio Pro. Now create buttons for each word... which don't overlap. Depending on how close some letters of one word are to another this might work ok. For the buttons set the highlight states opacity as desired. It might not be quite what you're looking to create but as long as the buttons don't overlap you should be able to create something that approximates the web version of a word tag. Hope that helps Rounik
