How to Exporting MP3 for Transcription?
How do I export audio from a video file (Dvc Pro HD 59.94fps) to an Mp3 in such a way that the time-code matches the original video file? I have been asked to create MP3's to be sent out for transcription. It is easy enough to send the video to compressor and covert to MP3 but the time-code on the Mp3 doesn't match Is it even possible to make the time-code match so that when the transcriber is done there will be a time-coded transcript? I am running Final Cut Studio 2

Hi rackfocus AFAIK neither mp3 or even aiff support timecode. WAV does. You can export to wav from FCP. You can try matching the start points of the video and the mp3 to 00:00:00:00. Will that help? Rounik
