I have an old G4 dual 450 that I would like to do some video editing on. I'm not really expecting 'too' much from this machine, but I want as many features in the application as possible, so I'd rather use Pro than Express. In your opinion, would this machine be capable? - Maybe with an older version? Maestro_T

xredflagx, I pretty much expected that this machine really wouldn't be up to the job. Do you - or anyone else here - know what applications were used when this spec of machine was popular - (Dual G4 450)? As I asked previously, maybe an older version? Not expecting lightning fast renders. :-) Just reliable one with good results. I'm sure someone was doing some video editing on them at that time. Thanks again, Maestro_T

Does anyone here have one of these that they might want to part with? If so, how much would you want for it. You can PM if you would like to discuss it. I'll go and have a look on Ebay in the meantime, although, I don't really trust Ebay. :-(

In my opinion, picsart is the best editing application which is light weight can can easily be run on any device.

However, You can have other options too, you can use kinemaster for editing as well. There are plenty of other applications like Inshot this is the one which I use for my YouTube Video editing.

If you can find an old version of Final Cut 5 (or 6 or 7) on eBay somewhere, maybe. You'll want a minimum of 16GB RAM if not more, and a super fast secondary drive for your projects to live on (don't put them on the system drive on a system that old). You won't edit anything larger than 1080HD, and that will be a struggle with multicam edits.
