    DV files 4:3 and 16:9
On my hard disc I have many files that I downladed from DV cameras JVC, Sony and Panasonic, PAL. Some of them are in 4:3, and some in 16:9 format Anamorphic. How can I do a montage of 4:3 (Anamorphic) and 16:9 files in Final Cut Express, that is on my iMac in FCE shown as a 4:3, not as the other as 16:9? Inside one project in FCE, I have files in 16:9 and 4:3 (Anamorphic file shown as 4:3, but really 16:9). What I have to do with him? Please, write to me everything... step by step. Friend explained me something, but not enough.

Hi pbaburic, If you set up your Sequence settings to 4:3 anamorphic and then import the 4:3 and 16:9 into your Sequence that should work fine. You may need to manually resize the 16:9 to fit by using the wireframe mode in the Canvas window. Hope that helps Rounik

Great! Glad you've got the solution... Feel free to share your solution (if it isn't what I wrote above) so that other members of the MPV Community can benefit too. Thanks Rounik

Well, I don't believe that anyone understands Croatian. http://www.jabucnjak.hr/forum/video/57865-dv-fileovi-43-i-169.html#57921

I don't... But I guess most Croatians do ;-) Sorry, if I was unclear above... perhaps if you have some time and it's not too difficult to do, you could write it in English? Thanks :)

Friend says (in Croatian): Clip that is 4:3, but in real is 16:9, you put in the timeline. Twice click on the timeline, and on the window you will see Distortion, and can write 33.33 or -33.33 and put Enter. Then, your Clip will be allright. On Slider side, you will see little black triangles, when you press on it value of the Slider will be higher/lower for one.
