    Exporting issue
I've noticed that when I export my footage from final cut express that it always seems like the colors fade and there's kind of like a white film over the shots. The colors just seem to loose their saturation and become less vivid(contrast gets less intense too). I've tried changing the bit rate, fps, size and everything but it seems that the colors are so much more dull after being exported as opposed to in final cut when I'm editing. Anyone know if i'm doing something wrong here? Its not like the shots turn to shit or anything, they're just a little less saturated and vivid.

Hi b.snow, What are your exact clip settings, sequence settings & export settings in Final Cut? Thanks R

It happens when I shoot in 24p, or 60i and I'll set my sequence according to which one of these frame rates that I shoot in. when I export I use the H.264 codec, leave the frame rate as current, use keyframes every 30 frames (this is the optimized setting for uploading to vimeo). I'll leave frame reordering one, set the quality to high multi pass and set my bitrate as high as I can without making a huge file (and leave it optimized for download). I'll either set the size to 1280 X 720 or just 640 X 360 if I want to make a smaller file. If I shoot in 60i I'll check off the "de-interlace source video" box. I shoot onto tapes with my Hv30 too, if that makes any difference.

Hi b.snow, Well H.264 is a good compression format to use - generally works very nicely. Can you take a screenshot of a 'before' and 'after' to help me see what the issue is. Thanks R
