    optimized media
Hi there, currently I am working on a project where the source comes from a DSLR camera (h.264). So I decided to work with optimized media. I transcoded the files during import. Now in the folder of the mediathek there is another folder with the optimized clips - as well as the folder with the original clips. Activating any of the clips in the browser, then checking the infos in the inspector it still says h.264, not ProRes. In the viewer I can swap between Proxy and Original, but not between Original and Optimized, because these function seem to be connected. So does FCPX automatically refer to the optimized ProRes files? I wonder about that, because if I right-click one of the files in the browser, then go to "show in finder" it also refers to the folder with the original clips, not to the optimized clips. Is this normal? Or is anything wrong on my system? Thanks in advance, Frank
