    No edit iMov to iDVD
I simply wanted to take the raw content off my Sanyo Xacti video cam and burn a disk. Let the next person deal with editing, etc. ...but I keep running into a maze of options. I cannot use the direct-from-cam, One Step DVD, because Steve still only uses tape-based/firewire cams... I finally had to save it about three time before I got what appears a version on the DVD that isn't compressed into an Acid trip. Is there a more simple way than 'trials and errors'? Thanks. Jim

hi there I am assuming you want to take your footage AS IS and 'transport' it using a carrier called DVD without doing ANY editing. Right? In this case IDVD will not help you, as what it does it compresses footage and CREATES a DVD. What you need is copying your footage onto DVD. You need to capture your footage on the Hard Drive as QT movies and then use The FINDER to copy these captured movies onto a DVD and burn them as 'files'. Good Luck. Hisham
