    importing video from a DVD
    I have footage from a DVD that I've created. How can I import this footage into iMovie? Please reply Thanks, Kenny Q

    Hello Kenny, Is the footage raw uncompressed video files stored on the DVD as data or has it been encoded to play on a standard DVD player? If it's simply data, copy it to your HD and import it into iMovie. If it's the later, then applications such as mac the ripper or handbrake can be used to rip the video/audio from the DVD to a quicktime compatible file format. Thanks Rounik

    As far as I know, Mac the Ripper will rip to a vob file. Those files are not compatible with iMovie. I think.
